Tiger Woods Will Skip Bay Hill and Return at the Masters

The Eye of the Tiger is now focused on returning at The Masters.  This roller coaster of golf drama will reach its climax at the storied golf course of Augusta National.  In a statement today, Tiger Woods confirmed that The Masters is where he will restart his golf career.

“The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta,” Woods said in a statement.

“The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and, as a professional, I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it’s been a while since I last played.”

This makes the most sense.  Augusta National is  a very high security venue that will allow Tiger the privacy he needs and limit the access the media has to him.  This was long thought to be the destination of his “return”, but his press conference a few weeks back cast a shadow of doubt.  Recently, speculation had turned to his return at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational.  But again, Tiger quelled those rumors by coming out today and saying that The Masters is indeed the site of “The Return”.
